Sunset on the trees

The other day I popped out back to do something after it had been raining and looked at the sun shining on the tree's outlinned by the dark clouds ahead
 The Apple tree shone
 Outlined by the clouds
Even the old flowering plum tree stood out

Ripe Tomatoes

As you can see we picked our first ripe tomatoes last week

We have also picked Cucumbers and Zuccini's

In the greenhouse I noticed that the Aubergine's are showing fruit now
Outside the Tomatoes are changing colour

Like the ones in the greenhouse
Cucumbers grow well

and so does this tomato my wife found in a planet she was given. Lettuce seem to just grow

In  the beds sunflower and runner bean flower
The pond is brightened by a water lilly

St Faith Shellingford

This week the church explorer takes you to St Faith Shellingford which is the first church I have had a chance to visit properly since lock-down and one with the neatest churchyards I have seen in a while

A Thursday Sunset

Early this month I was walking back indoors from the garden and noticed an orange sky so I picked up the phone and went around the front of the house to take a few photos of the sun setting across the allotments

The First Crops

Sunday we had our first crops from our garden. We pulled a few of the carrots I had growing in the Greenhouse

Pulled some peas and runner beans,
Add to that some  of the potatoes we had dug the previous week and we had a delicious dinner

One thing I have not shown you are the apples we have growing, they seem to be ripening up nicely

Along by the greenhouse I have planted some more spring onions and lettuce which are now growing well.
At the back the Zuccini  (courgette) were growing well and will soon be cut in a week or so

Quite sure the tomatoes growing there will be ripe soon.

In the bed the leeks are really growing well along with the carrots lettuce and spring onions I planed between them
This is the first time I have grown them and they have done better than I thought

We also have runner beans growing up the poles which are flowering so I'm looking forward to seeing beans soon
In the greenhouse Aubergine's have flowers on then

The chillies are growing  well I have  Jalapeño, Tokyo Hot
and Cayenne

Cucumbers continue to grow well and we harvest them regular and I am pleased to say the Tomatoes are ripening, hopefully by this time next week I will have picked the first.
The big drawback is I seem to be continuously watering them but a small price to pay.

St Peter & Paul Stokenchurch

This was a spur of the moment visit due to being nearby at the time. It was worth stopping off to see as the church was open for people to come into for a few moments. Limited access but allowed me enough to get what I needed. Please visit the link to see more of St Peter & Paul's Church
