This week the Church Explorer visits St Mary Upper Hayford which is rather devoid of graves in the churchyard till you look across the road and see the cemetery.
This blog is to showcase some of the photo's I've taken, the pictures can be from my archive of many years or taken recently. They are from where I live and the various places I have been. I hope Enjoy my work and come back to visit again

Morning walks are always something to look forward to in Wales so we went out the following day after last weeks post only to find it was rather dull but that did not stop the photos
Looking to the top of the quarry I noticed something and after zooming in found a couple of sheep
This point we usually turn left towards the hill the track here is private taking you to the owners house
Looking to the right this was the view you got
Further back the way we came and a view in the Builth Wells direction
Zooming in a little
Further along another morning view

I came across some photos the other day taken back in 2010 when my wife & I took a trip to Scotland with out Camper, we had dropped off out son at his grand parents and then gone on to Scone near Dundee so we could visit the oldest son who was working in Dundee. After our stay we drove back to Edinburgh to pick up our son from his grand parents and drove home.
This week the Church Explorer visits St James the Apostle Somerton one of the churches featured in Oxfordshires Best Churches and worthy of a visit to see its tomb effigies
In October we took an early morning walk past the lake at the campsite
The sun was rising behind us and the mist was still on the water
We past a duck stood on a rock watching the others in the water
A little flotilla of ducks milling around in the lake
Further on a little uphill mist can be seen in the valleys
The sun just poking above the hillside
Lighting up the hill opposite
Come evening the sun lit up the clods as it went down

I remember November as a kid being cold and damp with hard frosts on Bonfire night and fog stopping you seeing where you were going. As for flowers in the garden if any they were white with hoar frost, as the years went on the season changed and now it is quite warm for November and I noticed a few flowers hanging on in the garden
Magnolia and Acer changing color
Malvern hills hanging on
Even this pink one
Along with hot lips those three flowers you saw I see from our kitchen window
Going out the back this rose is seen
Though Olivia is looking worse for wear now
The blackbirds have not got these berries off the holly yet
Purple stands out
Along with another rose
This week the Church Explorer visits St Mary Ardley a place I have been through many times in the past and only knew the place for the nearby quarry. The church turned out to be a disappointment as I found it was closed at the time of my visit
Taking our dog for a walk around the lake before bed gives me the chance to capture the afterglow from the sunset
This particular evening it was nearly over
The last of the glow seen in the sky
It was almost gone behind the hills
Leaving the clouds darkening the sky

I'm running out pf ideas as to what to post ATM so thought some random photos might be in order.
Severn Services this is on the England side of the Severn bridge which used to be the main M4 crossing over to Wales before the built the new Price of Wales Bridge and moved the motorway. We stop here for a quick break on our way to the caravan
Road laying, something you do not see in England much but in Wales you do and the roads are better there
Suzuki Jimny's these are like hens teeth to find in garage if you want to buy one, this place does not seem to have a problem, mind you they are not cheep
Heather's Cafe just after it opened after taking over from TJ's, for some reason no one seems to keep the business going long in this property, TJ's lasted about 18 months, I hope thsi one fairs better.
