This week the Church Explorer shows you something different and shows you Graves of the Famous. These are a few of the famous people I have come across buried in Churchyards & Cemetery's. The first one I came across was Agatha Christie whom I did realise was buried in the local churchyard till I wandered around it many years ago. I then came across other people as I travelled to different churches & churchyards. These are just a few of the ones I have seen and I will bring more at a later date.

Gone but not forgotten ...
You taught me something by showing this headstone, Billy, as I was not familiar with this Engligh writer and humorist until I looked him up online. His parents must have had a sense of humor as well in naming him.
Some are though which is a pity
Well he is known along the Thames Valley for the book he wrote and you can still visit the pubs he stayed at
A Nice thing to do!I love walking on the graveyards!Always something to find and see
I think I read everything which was available in print by Jerome K Jerome when I was a teenager. That name - "Klapka" - also came in very useful in a pub quiz once!
I enjoy strolling through graveyards, you always find some interesting headstones.
