Thame gets it's name from the river that flows past the town. It dates back to the Anglo Saxon times and was part of Wessex. It is now a civil parish in Oxfordshire. The river Thame also lends its name to the Thames as it flows into it at Dorchester.

We have a Town Hall at Yarm that stands in the centre of the High Street. It dates from 1710 and has a clock tower like the one at Thame. Do you know how old the Thame one is?
Says on Wiki link it was built in 1888 but the date over the doorway is 1887, the street is older though along with a lot of the buildings
The town hall really stands out. I didn't know there was a Thame River as well as the Thames.
That's a gorgeous town hall.
