B is for Basildon Park

The house takes it name from the local village which is first documented in 1311, the house was built between 1776 & 1783 for a Sir Frances Syke. I have visted the house a couple of Times and there is also a blogger who works here. I might add the house has a wonderfull mural in the Garden Room

  2. Beautiful house - some days I think I would love to live in a place like that and others I think, wow, housework and upkeep! ;)

  4. Where is this house, and village? I love history and touring old houses. Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment, though you hit the wrong blog. There was massive onion gravy with my Bangers and Mash, loved the smell of it cooking! With the weather finally breaking, might try them on the grill next time and see how that goes. Had a hard time getting to your blog, could you leave a hyperlink to your blog or use name and url vs using our google+ page. Those pages are so full of comments folks make on other blogs it's sometimes next to impossible to find the link to your actual blog without clicking on a dozen other things. I keep a blog log in my right sidebar of all the a-z er's so will get you added to that. Happy A-Z
