House wrens seem to be able to find the largest twigs to use for nest materials and then take a long time to give up trying to get the stick in the nest.

That's a great photo. Interesting moment in that bird's life.
A man who lived near me had a similar problem with a 3-piece suite, they ended up having to take out a window.
