  1. I used to see a lot of those when I worked on the farm, thawing out taps before we could feed the animals was a time-consuming task when we least needed it.

    1. I can Imagen that as well, I remember frozen taps at home when I was a kid.

  2. Now that's a sight! I'm not even sure what I'd do next.

    1. Just let it thaw out, it soon melts when the sun comes out

  3. A sure sign that it's very cold outside.

  4. Now that's something I don't think I've ever seen before. Very cool, or should I say, very frozen.

    1. It was very common to see when I was kid during the winter That and the cream freezing in milk bottles and forcing up the top not to mention the blue tits helping themselves to the cream

  5. I have not seen anything quite like that before. A very interesting photograph!

    1. It happens but thankfully not often, worst thing is when the drain from the sink freezes

  6. I remember seeing this the odd time in the countryside growing up. Most of the time my dad would just shut off pressure to any outside tap in the fall, but on occasion it got forgotten.

    1. I keep mine lagged though there is one I did not. These were rain water tanks out in the garden

  7. It’s unusually cold here in Texas today. We are not use to driving in ice, so they have advised people to stay home....which is where most everyone has been anyway!

  8. Omg it's an icicle! Will the faucet be usable once it thaws? I've never lived in a place where that happens!

  9. So that's how you make it stop dripping! ;-)
