We have something similar but not nearly so lethal to small cars: speed bumps.

But you can walk right? LOL
We have them as well and in some cases they are worse
Oh yes you can walk, in fact over to the left is a car park entrance they can go to.
We have those on some bus lanes in Cambridge but we call them "rising bollards" which sounds a little more civilised!
Oh wow! I've never heard of such a thing. I bet it works really well!
This one does not rise it's fixed at a hight your sump will not clear though we have rising bollards as well.

Was to me when I saw it
Put it this way if you drive over it you get tour sump ripped off
