Top of the Tower Sky

For Wordless Wednesday  I posted some photos from a Church Tower entitled the Thief of Time, well I went in the church to take some photos when I met a bell ringer and while chatting I said I knew a guy who used to ring bells. When I mentioned his name the guy said he was coming along tonight and how would I like to see the bell tower. Well no need to ask twice and I soon followed him up the tower. I did meet my friend and was allowed to go on top of the tower so Skywatch this week is from the top of the tower

This is one of the pillars you see on the corners of the church tower
From the top of the tower you could see the Downs in the distance
The Church with a beautiful blue sky in the evening
On the top the tower the flag of St George flew proudly in the wind
Happy Skywatch

Can you imagine what a fabulous feeling it would have been to be up so high long, long ago?

I should think they found it very exciting if they had not been up there plus the trees would not have been so high and you would see more
