A sunny little spot to stop and rest while you shop. Here it would be too hot for everyone to sit in the sun, but I imagine that there it is quite cozy.

Very relaxing place to sit, but very difficult to get out of when the knees are bad.

Looks like a good idea to enjoy the sun, is it for a group meeting maybe?
I imagine that this must be a relatively cool place that people would want to sit outside...in the sun.
