Newbury Classics

Taken a while ago when my wife & I were in Newbury on Sunday Morning

This Ex MOD Landrover seemed a bit out of place on Parkway and was and advertisement for the new Jack Wills store in the precinct which unfortunately was too far away to get both in the same photo

This vintage Rolls Royce was in the market square along with many other cars

A Minimoke  from 1968

this was what was on the bonnet (hood) if you don't recognize it well I can tell you it is from the TV program The Prisoner I used to avidly watch this at night after coming home from the pub.

Morris Minor pickup I think this one belongs to the Berkshire Brewery a local micro brewery

A commer van, not seen any of these in quite a while

An MGA which was made down the road in Abingdon
and last but not least another Morris in the guise of a Minor Van this time.
The cars were an advertisement for a local classic car show coming up which I wish I had gone to still can't win them all.

It's always fun to see old cars. I love the Rolls Royce.

Sadly I can remember those cars being an everyday sight on the roads and now they are classics.

What a fun variety of vehicles you've found. I love that sporty MGA but, my favorite is the one with "The Prisoner" symbol on it. Wow, I loved that show. I even made the trip to Portmeirion a few years back so I could see that colorful village in person. Somewhere I have a pin with that symbol on it.

Oh-oh. Looks like I have another dream car -- a Morris Minor pickup truck. Today, I saw a chartreuse Landrover and thought how cool it would look with a splash of pink.
