The Mottisfont Angel

I came across this mural while visiting Mottisfont , the mural is a mosaic and made in the corner of  what was part of the old priory chapel. The Priory & Chapel was converted into a home during Tudor times and parts of the chapel can be seen.

  The whole mosaic

This part looks like it could have been tricky to do

Creating mosaics like this takes a huge amount of artistic vision and talent.

It certainly does evoke images of the Eastern churches in my mind. Lovely work!

Beautiful. For some reason I like the image of the plant best. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
