Holy Trinity Tapestry

The Holy Trinity Church in Headington ,Oxford is where C S Lewis used to go to church he is also buried in churchyard there. I visited before Christmas and was rather taken by the mural behind the altar which is a tapestry. I thought you would like you see it as well. To see more of the church go to the link above.

Funny you have a tapestry too, I doubted it was appropriate for the Mural meme.

Gorgeous and wonderfully layered. And I really like the candlesticks. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.

It's a beautiful tapestry. The central image is a copy of The Holy Trinity by the icon painter, Andrew Rublev. I'm behind with looking at your recent posts as I suddenly realised they don't come up automatically on my Reader. Also I'm having problems with Google connection at the moment.
