More from the Underpass

While taking photos of the last mural I also took the opportunity to  take some detailed ones of the Underpass not far away so over the next few weeks I will show them.

This is the detail on a couple of the panels. They are painted on White tiles though there is a little bit of tagging going on along the underpass most of it seems free of crap. The Painting seem to be of West Indian background and may have a story to it that I would need to find out about

  1. Another nice mural. Too bad someone had to spray the red line through it.

Now this is indeed an intriguing work...if I am not mistaken, the leaves on the right of the horses's head are tobacco and the other would appear to be grape vine. So I agree - WI influence here. Looking forward to more of these! YAM xx

    1. Yes you could be right though I thought at first it could be a reference to the breweries that were in town but had second thoughts after the lack of barrels and the fact a mule was pulling the cart.

  6. It looks beautiful. People who tag works of art like this are just plain destructive.

  9. It looks like it might be a historical rortrait of the arrival of these people from whichever island they came from?

  12. Oh, I like this image. Even more than the ships. Nothing like finding the tropics in an underground passageway. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
