Friday I took a little trip to Marston near Oxford as I happened to be nearby. I wanted to visit a church for My Grave Place Blog but I passed the road it was in and stopped to turn round near this house which had a Blue Plaque on the wall. Seemed it was quite an historic place.
Seems the Civil War affected even a small village near Oxford and it went down in history where Oxford was surrendered.

Yes they are great, I like finding them, There is even one to Agatha Christie in our Village on the house she lived in. Mind you she is asl buried at the local church

There are many which survive and are well cared for like that in the UK
Such antiquity is amazing and it still looks beautiful.
Cute little house. One finds history in sometimes unexpected places.
There are lots like that in this country that are well looked after
History is everwhere you just have to look round for it.
