Wow - that is some wierd fungus! Thanks for sharing.
Yes I thought so as well, tree is dying so will be getting cut down soon
It looks like the tree has a fancy skirt on but when you think about it, fungus is kind of scary stuff in all of it's many forms.
Great shots!! I am always fascinated by fungus..
So am I but some of it makes my skin crawl if I touch it
Usualy see this stuff on rotten wood which does not say much for the tree
Really nice to see the fungus there. It's beautiful in that other-worldly way.
It is but as I said it does not say much for the tree which I fear is dying
beautiful photos
The fungi are beautiful. Too bad about the apple tree though.
Thank you Babs, glad you like them
Fungi? Wow, they look like hungry aliens! Great captures.
It is but don't worry it will be replaced
Yes they do and in a way they are, feeding off the dead wood
Nice pictures!
Thank you
Wonderful texture!! Thank for sharing the love up-close:-)
I like the last one with the moss most, thanks for the comment
We have much fungus. I find it fun!
Nice angles of the mushrooms. The way they look and crinkle makes me think of crispy bacon. I wonder if they're edible.
Gosh! Must be an old tree...
Fungus is evenrywhere if we look even our own gardens
Hey not fare now I'm hungry. Don't think that type are edible
I've lived in the place 28 years and the tree was old then, think it could be part of an old orchard that was here.
Great find! I love funghi.
I admit I never expected to find it on tree in my garden
That's really cool! I've never seen anything quite like that before!
Nor had I till I looked at the tree the other day
