Usually, I don't like moths, but your pictures show their beauty!
I can understand that especally when you think that one was nearly the size of your hand.
Very pretty. You can't really tell the size from the photos. The size of your hand, that's really huge!

Unusual Shape wings.We have Bogong Moths here. At times, you think that someone is trying to break in the window but it is just the moths hitting the windows.They are big but not that big!
Proably talking the size of the palm of your hand rather than mine but it was big.

Get birds doing that quite offen, then they sit on the patio wondering what had hit them.
Oh neat, it looks like the bat that attacked me while I was swimming the other night. Only the bat was huge and black.
Does look like a bat and probably was not far off the size of a small one, mind you I doubt he would last long if a bat had been flying around nearby.
I am fascinated by large moths, I find them very beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you though personaly I'm not that keen on them.
