Verda Park

Verda Park is a new industrial Estate in Wallingford opening only a few weeks ago, it was built on some derelict  land left over from when they built the Wallingford By-Pass. A few years ago planning was put in to build some industrial units and after some consideration it was granted, work started clearing the site then stopped and the epidemic took hold. A year of so ago they started work and the new buildings were soon up . I went along to visit one called Screwfix

This was taken back in 2008 and is the land where the park will be built for a while it became a lake when the top soil was removed before work could begin

This is the park along Hithercroft road

and this is the road leading in

This gated part leads to a couple or lager units on had been taken buy Oxford Biomedica the other I am told will be used by Amazon

This is where the smaller units are

The first and last ones are occupied by Screwfix and an electrical company

This is where I ended up going Screwfix where I  picked up some tools I needed. Now the place is here it save me a trip to Didcot which is twice the distance from my house, this place is 5 minuets

Take care

  3. There is talk that Amazon is looking for space to build here in NZ too, good for new jobs but I bet it'll be a big building.

  4. I wonder why they persist in calling industrial areas "parks", who are they trying to fool? I've bought stuff from Screwfix in the past and it always seems decent quality.

    1. I'll never know, bit like retail parks. Toolstation is good as well, similar stuff sometimes cheaper
