Great idea - these beautiful little creatures are endangered and need all the help they can get!
Wish we had them here in the US - one lived in my childhood English garden many years.

There's a lovely story of two 13 y.o. English girls who do hedgehog rescue in Stratford-upon-Avon in the March issue of UK Country Living magazine - last page - if you or your wife can get a copy you would really enjoy reading the article.

Think you have some up in North Amaerica. There is a hedgehog recue around where I live near Reading http://www.hedgehog-rescue.org.uk/ plus wildlife rescues in Oxfordshire
