The Boiler House

This was the Bolierhouse at Fair Mile Hospital in Cholsey I had written a blog about in Forgotten Fairmile and needed to come back to take some photos to finish it off. Ended up doing it twice because of the overcast sky on one day. If you click on the link you can read my blog on it

Not the best day with the sky's looking how they are

Looked even worse the other way

Next day was better with superb blue sky

Had to make lighting adjustment due to the building on the left.

and the other way again looking a bit better with blue sky. Still not totally happy but will do to finish  off my blog. I might add I have been up the chimney and there is an amazing view from up there.

Best not look down, make you dizzy

Look out instead

  1. Amazing you are able to climb up that chimney! The view straight down is a little worrisome, but I love the view.

  5. I don't like looking down but do take a peek every now and then. It is an interesting view when you looked straight down. I love the view better looking out. I wouldn't think they would allow people to climb up the chimney. You must be inside it to get to the top.

  13. Wonderful shots and I loved the old post about the history and seeing those old boilers. How did you get up to the top? Are they stairs?
