Rememberance Day

Today is remembrance day, the 11th of the 11th Month at 11 O'clock people will remember the dead of the wars.  This year it is made more poignant as it is 100 years since the start of World War One.
These are just some of the 200 odd Commonwealth War graves in Old Reading Cemetery, I took in the region of 100 the day I visited.

Beautiful post. I always find the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month a very moving time of remembrance. May all those who gave their lives RIP.

Good post for today but I don't think you mentioned which cemetery you had visited.

part of one of my books were on the war, and I am connected to the Canadian Military. 11.11.of 11 makes it more meaningful.

Beautiful shots. I have a documentary on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, and a good number of the aspects here in your photographs get brought up during it.
