P is for Primrose



Apart from Snowdrops Primroses are my favorite flower. Snowdrops to me herald  the beginning of the new year and Primroses the beginning of spring. The nicest ones I always think are the ones which grow wild. This one is in the churchyard at Kelmscot.

Thank you I wanted to get the church in the background, just a shame the primrose was not a bit bigger.

I really like this. Your aim may have been to capture the primrose but you did so much more. To me the photo represents the cycle of life; The new life (primrose), the life ending (the graves) and the renewing of life (the bare trees in the background, which will soon be covered in leaves again).
Well done.

I never thought of it that way though it was my intention to get the grave and church in the background.
