Sunset on the M4

The other week my wife & I were travelling along the M4 to Wales, as we drew near Bristol you could see the sun setting, well I just had to take a few photo's

         The sun behind the clouds
The traffic on the M4 with an orange glow behind
Further along the sun peaking over the trees

In Wales I spotted this cloud with a wispy tail, the lamppost just got in the way.

Happy Skywatch

Sunrise, Sunset

The misty morning my wife & I went for a walk we saw the sun rise through the trees

The evening came & I noticed a beautiful sunset or at least the last of it

The sun making the clouds glow some wonderful colours

Finally dipping leaving the colour fading away
Happy Skywatch everyone

Just come back from shopping  and saw this sky which I tough was rude not to get a photo of. The last photos shows rain clouds looming up and later that night it rained.

A Week at Work

Happy Skywatch
This week I will show you the various sky's since my last Skywatch. It has been an event full week with a  mixed bag of skys

This was the sky I took on Friday which looked great
This shows a greater area

The following week I posted this on Twitter an included Simon Parkin  weather man for Meridian  TV along with Diamond. Guess what it was shown just before the weather on TV It was not even a good photo
Going home this was the scene
I missed Tuesday as the Battery went flat but Wed looked like this all day
Thursday was a bit better and Simon Parkin asked on Twitter if the fog was still there I tweeted him the photo you see above.
I took this photo out of the office window in the afternoon as the sun went down

Going home I felt I had to get a photo of the Dish all lit up. Have a great day

More Rutherford Skys

After last weeks post of the sunsets of the skys over where I work on the Rutherford site at Diamond Light Source  (I might add were taken at the end of October) I could not help but take some of the skys as I came out on my way out to go home.

This was Tuesday evening and the Red colored clouds
Ok this is dawn from out of my back door and the vapor trails from planes on Wednesday
Home time and another wonderful sky to behold.
Home on Thursday showed no wonderful sunset but the moon came out. Have a great weekend.

Sunset at Rutherford Laboratories

A week ago I was going home and saw this wonderful sunset over Rutherford Laboratories by the facility I work at.

A lone plane leaves a vapor trail after existing the clouds

The sky's look like they are on fire but a single photo does not show the whole scene

Morning and Evening

These were taken from the back door of my house. The skytrail heads towards the Bristol Channel and is the flightpath from LHR

At dusk the trails turn pink. I used to watch Concorde fly over on this path every evening at the same time

Sky Trails

Everyone seems to be showing photo's of vapor trails in the sky left by Aircraft flying past. I took this one outside my house a few years ago as the sun was setting

Today it is two for the price of one as I could not make my mind up which to use

Sunset at Newborough beach

This photo was taken a few years ago now and is  at Newborough beach Anglesey. I had gone there with my wife on holiday and were taking the dogs for a walk. I had just got in the position of getting the sun going down when my son phoned me on my mobile by the time I took the photo I was just left with this

It was taken with a Canon PowerShot S2 IS in 2005
