Snow Moon

Back around the middle of February we had what was called a snow moon I went out when it was rising around 6.45 in the evening and got a couple of photos using a 400mm lens on my
 Canon EOS 70D

Taking looking through a tree with the moon in the clouds

Minute later at a different setting

Later still with a cloud haze

Looking across at the moon
Over  a week later stood near my caravan with the moon and north star
Zooming out you can the solar lights off a caravan awning and the night sky

Moon Shoots

I bought the Canon Powershot SX730 a few weeks ago & decided to try out the zoom. Now I have taken photos of the moon before with my old SX240 but they did not come out like these

The moon was out in the evening sky when I took these photos

You can clearly see the craters on this view

 And more lower down

Don't think I ever noticed my photos this of the moon this clear before

This is a stitch of the last two

A week or so later I took the full moon in the night sky

Supermoon

On Sunday evening I took this photo of the Supermoon, I used my compact on full zoom to capture it
The first few photos were in focus but the last ones were a Little shaky

Later early in the morning I woke up and looked out the window to see the eclipse

It was not long before it started changing red

Then darker and more red was showing

Until it was all red

Full Moon

The other week was the full moon so I thought I'd try and get a photo of it, the photos were taken with my Compact camera so I was at a loss as to how it come out.

The ring round the moon with clouds passing
On full zoom I was surprised I could see so much detail, not bad for a compact.
