This week the Church Explorer visits St Mary the Virgin Black Bourton which is quiet a stunning old church this with some medieval wall paintings and beautiful Norman priest door. The churchyard also has one of the biggest Commonwealth War Grave cemeteries I have seen in a village
Interesting how all churches were different and that there were many additions.
ReplyDeleteI had to smile at your comment today on my post, that churches are different here in Florida than where you are, i think you are in UK. we have no old beautiful stone churches but there is a church on every corner. maybe you have inspired me to take photos of them.
