A few more photo's I too from Days lock the other day only making sure there was a good helping of sky in them
On the way there I stopped off to get a photo of this new estate which is another piece of land grabbing so the farmland up to the bypass could be used for new housing, these are the first few built, all around more are going up.
Days lock only this time taken with my R6
Looking upstream from the lock
This a closer look taken from the bottom of the bridge, this part of the clumps is Castle hill which is an old iron age fort
From the bottom of the bridge again looking towards the weir

Looks like you had good weather to be out and about. Nice scenes and great views of the skies. Enjoy your evening.
Those are great pictures. Love how blue the sky is too.
Love seeing the sky there. Looks like it was a beautiful day for photos.
Pretty shots and beautiful skies! Going from farmland to estates is really going to change things!
Such great photos. I love the locks and the reflections, and the old iron age castle.
An appealing place to explore.
Great shots.
Great shots.
Good views of the lock
It was very nice that day which is more than I can say about today
Yes the sky was rather nice
It really was and most likely the best of the week
Thats true and too much of it is happening around here
I forgot about reflections, the fort can be seen for miles around here
That good you posted twice
Always a good subject to get
Greetings and Salutations! Nice sky photos. We have locks in the city of Chicago. Actually you can ride this boat and experience the lock. It is totally awesome trip. Photograph third from bottom really does look like a hill that a fort would be on because of elevation. Nice day to be out and about taking pictures for sure.
Are there many housing estates being built there? it's like we have so many new ones popping up here all the time because of people moving out of the big cities.
I have swam through a lock many years ago on a sponsored swim in the next lock along. We started off nearby and were let through the lock. Strange experience being lowered and watching the walls get higher
Too many, they are building a huge one in the next town along
I have never seen a lock before. Such beautiful views and photos.
Thank you so much for sharing this post on Wandering Camera!
