What do you call that creature there? We have something similar here that we call Daddy Longlegs. I don't know if it's true, but my brother-in-law said the poison of a Daddy Longlegs is extremely toxic, but they can't bite people because their mouths are too small. Or perhaps he just told me that to comfort me.

Seems your right it is a daddy long legs spider, something I never realised. Daddy long legs to me is a crane fly
