The other day we were sat on the patio when a plane towing a glider went past, I watched it fly away and missed taking a closer shot. I though it may well turn around and it did though higher this time
About here the glider was going to let go of the line towing it
Then it was off flying away silently on it's own
It disappeared into the clouds
The tow plane too over in that direction

Wow. I've never seen anything like that. Probably too dangerous here, so close to the busy Houston skies.

Yes it is quite normal to to a glider up around the airfield here
There's a facility for that near where some of my family live.

I know flying in a tiger moth by-plane is bumpy so I would think that is worse

Amazing to see the glider.
It seems when I was a kid we would see a lot more gliders in the sky. Not so much now. Of course I live in the city underneath a glide path for our airport so that is not a place where gliders would be hanging out.
