View from Carfax

These were taken in December 2014 0n my wife's birthday when I took her out for afternoon tea at some posh restaurant, we had a walk around and went up Carfax tower to see Oxford from on high. They were taken with a compact camera

The green spire I think is near the castle

This is looking up the high street towards the University church of St Mary which is the tall spire. You were looking towards me in the photos I showed a few weeks ago

This is straight down the tower which is all that remains of the old church that stood here, just beside that roof below is a few headstones that remain of the churchyard

That area is Carfax where George street, Cormarket Street, High Street and St Aldates meet

This looks across the top of Cornmarket street towards Exeter collage

Back up the High Street

Turning a little and the town hall is on the right

Zoomed in on the Ratcliffe Camera Left and Lincoln Collage library , St Mary's spire is just left of it

Could well be Merton Collage chapel

To the town hall

Towards Tom Tower and St Aldates church

That is the top of Carfax tower

And that is where I had been.

The clock chimes on the hour and ever tourist and their dog stand gawking at it while the two men hammer the bell
