A weather warning is in place telling us of a weather front coming our way bringing cold weather. cold I mean by up tless than zero deg C. It has been given a name of the Beast from the East or the Siberian Express.
Well the weather has been cold overight we are seeing tempertures of less -5c and during the day it can be +3c but with the wind chill it feels colder. this evening I popped down the village and when I left the house I noticed the odd bit of snow by the time I reached the centre this is what I encountered
Snow was falling
Covering the pavement
But on the way back it had stopped.

Looks lovely - and a lot warmer than here in Sweden.
So far, so good, though colder conditions and more snow are forecast for later in the week. Brrrr!
Definitely time to hibernate then. I like those terrace houses.

A number of children were very disappointed there wasn't moresnow on the ground this morning.
The beast is going to visit us too. We have a red alert out and the radio stations are telling people to make sure they have plenty of fuel and food. They are also telling people to check on their elderly neighbors to make sure everything is fine. We had a touch of snow today too when I was out walking. It only lasted about 15 minutes.
Short and sweet! That's how our rain has been.
