Ardington

Few weeks ago I was on a photography course in the village of Ardington, for the last 15 mins we went out for some practical work and I wandered down one end of the village I had not seen coming across the village War Memorial

Got to admit I visited the church but did not venture around this end of the road

The ware memorial with the names of the fallen from World War One

The seat and memorial

The Seat is a memorial to Lord Wantage who live in the village and was love by all

The inscription to Lord Wantage on the seat. He is buried in the churchyard

  2. There seems to be no village too small for one of these. I think there were only 53 parishes in England that got all of their service men home.

  3. A beautiful village especially the church. The Memorial is a little different to many you see in the villages.
