This village is about a mile & a half down the road from Brightwell Baldwin which I showed last week. The village is recorded in the Domesday book as having 3 water mills and the church still has it's Norman Bell Tower
Now I took this building as a water mill but was mistaken it's one of a row of Almshouses
This road takes you to the Farm and church which you can see in the distance
Opposite the road to the church is this beautiful thatched cottage
The car parked outside added to the romance of the place
The village still has its red phone box thought I could not say if it still had a phone, most do not now a days
Another thatched hose set back near the Almshouses
And a view along the main road leading through the village
The stream that feeds all the water mills mentioned in the Domesday book
Taking Part in Our World Tuesday
