Morning Walk

When at our caravan we tend to try and go for a walk early morning with the dog so as to miss every one out with theirs but as most people don't get up early we hardly see any one and as the season closed very few people are seen

Looking across the meadows from the track we walked up, the path you see going across the hill is one we have been along before now

Looking back down the track towards the far hillside shows it is hazy

Even looking to the hills from the way we came low cloud is evident

Walking around the lake a flotilla of ducks are moving around

The lake is not so reflective this morning

 But the ducks don't mind.

Halloween at night

It is Halloween this week and though I did show photos of the  graveyard last week a day or so later I went back one evening and took some photos at night

It takes on a whole different look

The shadows

The place gets a whole creepy look with the fallen leaves

It looks like a deserted graveyard

 The stones talk to you

Jack o lantern laughs at you fear

Hope you all have a great Halloween

St James Ramsden

St James Ramsden is an interesting Victorian church that  stands beside an old Roman road and has a rather unusual offset spire

Morning Evening Sky

More from September from a morning walk we took with our dog

I cannot say it was the best morning being rather misty looking down the lake

Looking back down the track

Towards the Radnor hills

Come evening when I took the dog out I saw this sky

It looked amazing

The color changed as I turned

Wide view

Reflected in the lake

The end of the lake towards the hills

It's Nearly Halloween

It's nearly Halloween and one person in the village has started putting on on the display for  the 31st.

Wide view
More headstones than last year
They must look good at night
The stocks are still there
So is scarecrow
I must go and get some night shots

Nuffield Orthopedic Hospital

The  Nuffield Orthopedic Hospital is part of the Oxford Group of Hospitals which are all in Headington and not a great distance from each other. I took my son there for a scan so while he was there I took a walk around to get some photos. I'm useing the blog for SkyWatch Friday as well

As you come in the main entrance this is the first building you see

The main entrance to the hospital

With other parts going back up towards the entrance road

And where you will see this sculpture which is a display of sunflowers

They must have looked stunning when first erected

This I read was where the engineered artificial limbs

Hemophiliac ward, its an older building to the rest of the place

Walking around the place I came across this horse sculpture

It glowed when you looked from one angle, but as it was towards the sun I could not get a nice view

After the horse I walked back up to where I took the first photo and took this photo of a place you would miss when you drove to the carpark.

Allotment sky

Well I'm still playing catch up from September and will be for s while yet as I like to make sure I have plenty of photos for SkyWatch. These photos were taken around Mid September when I went out for a walk up to the allotments near where I first lived when I bought a house. As usual I made sure there was some nice sky to see

This is as you walk in to the allotments from the south entrance on Ilgies Lane

The roof you see in the center line of the photos is a few houses up from where I used to live my first house and where we lived when we got married. The allotments here are always well maintained

The houses in this photo were built in the last few years

This pumpkin was huge and it is still six weeks to Halloween

When I got home I found this fellow looking after my Greenhouse
