More from September

Last week I showed photos I took with my compact camera, this week similar ones with my phone which is what I normally take when out walking

Aberedw hill which is where we are heading

The route was different than the one normally taken but no less hard

The views are no less splendid

This view down to the campsite

Is what you get from this seat in memory of Tessa Yates who died in April 2009 age 52

Further up the hill

Looking across the valley

Back along the path

Halloween Town

Halloween comes once a year and along it pops up Halloween Town in our village, this year it looks like it will be as good as ever so a taster till I show  you the night show next week

A little teaser for people to view over the fence at

I think this guy is new

 But the scarecrow is not

A week later we had a storm so thinks changed and I noted more additions

The stocks had gained a victim

and a skeleton was behind Dracula's grave

I loved the headstones

The captions make you laugh

 Hand in the ground

Collage for you

Keep going

Tonight some night photos

Jack at night

Grinning at you

Still peeking

And stuck in the stocks

End of September Walk

The photos were taken near the end of September and I'll spin it out over the next week as well because these photos were taken with my compact camera

Clear blue sky and  lake

Camping field with a lone tent

Top of the camping field

Looking back

Radnor hills in the distance

To get to this point is a steep climb, its just as bad around the bend

The end is nearly in site

At the end of the climb you get this view

I had to zoom in to get the wind turbines which have been up years and produce nothing as they are not connected. Bute Energy got the money out of the Welsh government but don't have the infrastructure to connect them

They now want to put more turbines up here, I hope some one hacks them

On the way back down looking to Aberedw hill

The swan and cygnets, they are flying now and loosing the grayness fast

Alisons Seat

Back in 2008 I came across this seat on the hillside above Fforest Fields campsite. It was dedicated to Alison who has sadly passed away in 2003 it overlooked the campsite below

Alisons seat in 2008

This was the view of the campsite then

2017 the seat looked like this and the woods below had been cleared in 2012 but has been replanted and was growing fast

 Samplings obscured the view

Come 2025 when I thought we should take a shorter walk along the hillside to see how the woods looked now I remembered Alisons seat

A little further brought us to the concrete plinth it used to stand on but the seat had gone

A little further and We came across this seat, not how I remember the seat on the hill or the original

The plaque was screwed to the bench so she could be remembered and it still looks over the campsite from a different spot
Take Care
