This week the church explorer visits St Mary & St John on the Cowley Road Oxford, which is repetitively new compared to other churches I have visited but one well worth stopping off to see
This blog is to showcase some of the photo's I've taken, the pictures can be from my archive of many years or taken recently. They are from where I live and the various places I have been. I hope Enjoy my work and come back to visit again

This week my SkyWatch goes back to the end of August and the sunrise I noticed, it was not anything special like others but the skys during the day were much better. I also showed a post worthy of SkyWatch so of you would like to see them the click on the link More Wide Photos
The sunrise I was rather muted but sill added colour to the sky
It was more a yellowish tinge
I took these the last time I was in Wales playing around with the wide angle lens
This week the church explorer visits St Mary Magdalane South Marston. This was the last of the churches I visited on my tour around near Swindon. The church also boasts a small central spire
After our hike up the hill which I showed in last Friday's SkyWatch we thought we would go up earlier the next day which we did manage if only by 15min, this tiem I took my Canon EOS R6 with 15-30mm lens as we were going wide I took nearly 50 photos but I'll only show a few, I also took more with my iphone but I'll show them another time.
This was just coming out of the mist on the way up the hill
The opposite way

Back in August I changed my RF 16mm fro a new RF 15-30mm zoom lens as I prefer to use the flexibility of a zoom lens rather than a Prime lens. I took it out for a test run around the village and the local church.
The village green we call the Forty at 15mm
This week the Church Explorer visits St Andrew Wanborough an unusual church with bell tower and central spire. Unfortunately for me it was locked
Normally I tend to be a few weeks behind with my SkyWatch photos but this week we are jumping to this week. If you saw my post from Tuesday you might have got a taster for what I am about to show you.
This is what we had to contend with at the start
But as we climbed up the hill we could see clearer sky above
When we reached the quarry it was much clearer
At the place I tend to stop for a photo things looked foggy below
We climbed higher so I took a pano of what was below
The sun was just peeking over the hill
