Low Cloud

Bank Holiday weekend saw rain in most places, I took this on Saturday morning after I got up. The hillside by the campsite had the sky come down to meet us. It rained all day I might add. Two of the photos are stiched to give a better view

John Lewis a famous department store in the UK past it's 150th birthday recently. I took these photos of their birthday weekend in the Reading store.

Garden Room Mural

This is an amazing Mural, it can be seen in the Garden Room of Basildon Park House. It's quite hard to take in at first and the ceiling is even painted like the sky with birds flying overhead.

So what do you think of having that in your back room. Above is a stitch of most of the room which is round.

Three Months Later

 Back in February I showed some photos of a flooded footpath well I thought you might like to see how it liked now.

Last time I was here the  water was by the lampost

Last time I looked at the bridge was from the bank on the left

 Same underpass but the other side which looked like this last time I was here

All this was underwater

On Borrowed Time

 I took a few photos of this a while ago but thought it worth revisiting. The mural is in part of a Reading building on Station Hill which is to be redeveloped in the future so will be lost to all, not that many people see it.

Taken a few days ago near where I was staying in Wales. The hillside was awash with Bluebells and the sky was blue with cotton clouds floating by.

This picture was taken  at Basildon Park,I liked the colors and patern on the bark. In the background is Basildon Park House. I may well feature it in another blog when I get the chance to go back and there are less people around.

A Long Weekend

Well this is my 500th post on this blog and as it is Skywatch Friday So as it was a Bank Holiday Weekend I'm going to give you a weekend of skys from places I went.

First one was on Saturday and taken through the window at Reading Station looking towards the work being done there on the new lines

Sunday it was Glastonbury and this was taken at Street  which is a Town nearby

 Here is part of Glastonbury Abbey with King Aurturs grave in the centre

Monday it was Basildon Park and this is a view out one of the windows there. The River Thames is over in the distance out of sight

Anyone Recognise this place, we passed it on the way to a place Tuesday.

And this is where we went Wardour Castle or what is left of it, it was used in Robin hood Prince of Thieves. Happy Skywatch
