First Snow

Happened to be in Wales the weekend sorting out or caravan and the first thing I saw was snow on the surrounding hills

Aberedw Hill with a dusting of snow
Not long after a shower of sleet and snow blurred the landscape
Going home the weather still looked like it was going to throw more snow at us, you can see snow on the distant hills
the side of Aberedw hill where the snow landed

On the way through the Brecon Beacons there was more snow but the clouds hid it

The motorway had more cloud but the snow had gone
Soon we were on the Severn Bridge and on our way home

Watch this space

A trip to the vets the other day with our dog meant passing this bungalow that was up for sale

A closer look at the sign showed a smaller one telling you of a development opportunity. On checking the planing for the property you can find plans passed for a development of three houses on the site.
I'll be watching this with interest as there is another property near were I live in the same position.

Earlier this year there was a detached bungalow here, this is all that remained in February

Come October and they were putting the finishing touches to the two properties that took it's place

Costly Photo

So wile I was on a break for a few days at our Caravan in Wales we went for our walk up the side of Aberedw Hill, on the way down we passed a waterfall that I thought would make a good photo.

Problem was to get it I had to wade through a small pond  So I picked my way around and eventually got my photo
Trouble was on the way I found the water was too deep with the muddy bottom, thewater laping at the pot of my wellingtons and when I tried to go back I started to fall and missed a sapling I tried to grab hold of and ended up in the pond which was full of smelly mud. After that I just waded through got my photo and got out.
 One muddy pond.
Where was my wife, well as you would think after telling me not to try she ended up in stitches after watching me fall in the pond. I ended up having a long cold wet walk back to the caravan. Not only that I had no spare clothes so my wife had to drive off out to the local store and get another pair of jean,'s and a coat for me to wear. I don't think it was even worth the effort of trying to get the photo which ended up being rather costly. Lesson learnt don't try stupid things like wadeing through a muddy pond

Bonfire Night

In the UK we celibrate the 5th of November as Guy Fawkes Night or Bonfire Night, Most people will go to an organised display now adays but a few have one at home and let of fierworks from the backyard. On Saturday I heard them going off and looked out and thought it was a good time to try out my Canon SX730 on firework setting. These are the photos I took, hope you enjoy them.
