This week the Church Explorer visits St Michael Leafield a very nice Victorian Church with some beautiful stained glass
I took the dog out for a quick walk by the lake one evening in July and this is what I saw a beautiful sunset
I went up the hill a little to get a better view
The cloud on my right looked like a luminous fish chasing something
The sky well that was something else reflecting in the lake
Just beautiful
Turing around to go back and the cloud over the hill had a pink tinge
The tint dissipated as I walked on
But one last look at the sunset was needed
Happy Skywatch
I took quite a few photos for use in the flower show but only a few made it to the show, here are some of the ones I did not use. The subject was round tings so I thought flowers, in the end I did not use them
Echinacea
Daisy
These are leeks that have gone to seed
I did not feel the photos looks right
artichoke
I notice the clouds when I went out the back of our house around midday back towards the end of June
Looking west
Looking over towards the north
West over the top of our house
Looking east
Back south west
Finally to the west
Happy Skywatch
The Ox Trail is an art intuitive that can be seen around Oxfordshire, at the end the Ox's are auctioned off in aid of charity it was something I thought I would miss until I went to collect my new glasses in Wallinford
On my way to the opticians I passed this shoe shop that had closed, it closed down back in April and I had not known this. I remember coming here with my mother for shoes when I was a small child. A sad day for the town when it closed it's doors
On my way back to the car I had quick walk around the square and spotted this in one of the windows
This is the information about it
Quite striking in blue
I did not stop there I waled around the town to see how many were around
The window reflecting messed up getting a good shot of this one
Another in a shop on the arcade
On the corner of Waitrose they had three
Take Care
This week the Church Explorer visits St Simon & St Jude Milton-Under-Wychwood the second of four churches I visited for my blog, this one was built in the 1800s so not as old as the others I visited
Now I forgot about these photos and only just realized I took them the same day and last weeks. Anyway I had taken my 400mm zoom with me to our caravan and noticed they were out paragliding again, this time I felt a bit more prepared for the event
Last week I spent getting prepared for the village show sorting out what I wanted to enter and some photo boards for a group I was helping out with.
One think I was entering was the Cucumber section where you had to submit two well this is what I picked that morning, the longest the curved one was 18" long. We picked the best two out
