Evening Cloud

 

 This evening I went outside and noticed the sun low in the sky

Getting my phone I took a few photos and a Kite flew past

Out the back I looked at the clouds over the village

 Going upstairs I took this shot out the Bathroom window the sun misted by clouds

Out the bedroom window the clouds over the village

That's it for this year as it is Christmas next week so I will be taking a break for a few days have a happy Safe Christmas

The Winter Wonderland

 

 

Christmas Lights

 

 As it is drawing near Christmas I noticed that there seemed to be a few more lights around the village, people seem to be trying to give everyone a little bit of cheer in these times. I first noticed a small close that seem to be full of lights so one evening I went out for a walk to see what was around.

This road was the first I went down to see what had been done

 

 

 

 

 

The first houses were well lit up

Some were even more well lit

In the village centre this person puts on a good show every year

Remember the pumpkins from Halloween well the playhouse was now bedecked with snow and the tree behind lit up. I really liked this one

My next destination was this place on the edge of the village

You passed this display on your way along the road

This is what I wanted to see, the display put on by the retired school teacher Pooh and friends had changed

And I think this was the winter wonderland

The last house the nativity scene was lit buy a tree of lights

On the way back I noticed this on a fence. NHS who have been the real heroes though the epidemic this year

A New Day

 

 Last Saturday I let the dog out first thing and was privileged to see a dew day beginning with a star still glowing in the sky

 A couple of hours later I went down the village and noticed few pop up stores

 

I took a pano which shows the whole centre which at the time I though quite busy

The Kite

 

Red Kites have become quite a common sight in the sky around where I live, normally  I just watch them soaring around near our house and loving their aerobatics. Often you hear one calling from a tree nearby. The other day I had my phone on hand and tried to get a photo of one with that 

 

 I took one of him in the tree which was not so good

I was quite pleased when I managed to get a shot of one flying over

Zooming in 10x's bright me a little closer

 I thought I'd get a closer look at the fellow so got my compact zoom

A nice looking bird

And I'm sure it was watching me while I took photo's a few moment later it was flying off from the tree and swooping over my way. it was huge but too fast for a shot with my compact. It was most likely a female from the size as they tend to be bigger than the males.

A New Day

 

Tuesday the 2nd December meant the Lockdown in England that we had endured for a month had ended, a new day was dawning for us all  and we were going to be thrown into a three tier's with most of the country in the high ones. Live would not change much for some. Looking out of the window I noticed a colouring of the sky promising a beautiful dawn

The clouds were tinted with the sun coming up

The kite had the best view though I doubt it cared past the next meal it was looking for

Going upstairs to the bedroom I got a grandstand view of the dawn.

Dewy Cobwebs

 

Last week we had some cold fogy mornings, going out on the patios I noticed some dew on the cobwebs, I thought lets get a few photos of them and went and got my phone

 This old gate had dew on the cobweb that had formed droplets

 They looked like little jewels

 

 The metal work had drops forming on them

 And a rose branch had another

Getting out a macro lens on my DSLR I got even closer to the droplets which had formed spheres and reflected my Greenhouse 

One of the roses had a droplet by a thorn which when you looked closer had a cobweb on the end with a smaller droplet of dew on it
