Another update

This week another update on the  on the new development  that is happening in our village, I thought it worth looking to see if the show homes were any where near being finished. The link here will show you how it looked back at the end of November To fill a couple of Friends in who do not live around here this filed is behind what we knew as the slaughter house near Blackhalls Farm, this shot is from where East End Farm ended.

Since last time grass has been laid and the fencing moved near the road

Looking up the new road at the bungalows that look like they are near completion

This way shows down the road towards East End Farm

This was one of the first building I took photos of that starting at the footings seems to be taking longer that the others

The road leading through the development

Footings up to DPC that wait more work

The machinery parked up over the weekend

This is stacks of insulation waiting to me laid in one of the  buildings

That's it, I'll come back up here again and get a few photos when the building you see is finished.

New Years Day

I posted Sunsets on 2021 on Friday last week which was a week before I was going to start posting again but after seeing the sunset I felt it needed to be done.

The post ended looking east towards where the sun would rise, I suppose I should have said looking towards 2022

Little did I know I would be looking at a sunrise on New Years Day but I did and quickly grabbed my phone, a plane was heading west towards lands end

The photo from 2021 wast take from the bathroom window, so here is new years day from the same place. Happy New Year

12 Months of the Garden

Happy New Year everyone. At this time of year people seem to be writing reviews or their bogs of last year. I do with The Church Explorer I cannot remember doing one for the Daily Photo but then where would I start as it is posted four times a week. I remembered I always post on Skywatch Friday and the beginning of last year I posted a week of sky taken from my bedroom window which while I took the photo I took one of the garden. I would use the garden one for a desk diary I always make my wife at Christmas. I then proceeded to take a photo of the garden each month for the rest of the year. That's what I am showing this week the garden, seem are from the window others from the patio.

I took two different ones on January, one with no snow and one with the snow that fell. The garden in January is very different to how you will see it in December. See if you can see hat has been going on

February which is more or less how it looked in January with out the snow

March was taken from the patio, the daffodils are popping out

April and we started doing some work to the garden, it was sunny one day the next it looked like this

May the garden was looking green

June was Sunny hence the parasol

July looked very green

I nearly forgot August but remembered this shot I took on the patio

September the colour was going out of the garden

All I got for October was the patio, I'd forgotten about the garden

Nearly forgot November as well but it snowed or at least sneezed on the garden

A couple of days later I took the last one in December which was used in our diary. I'll see if I can do this again in 2022. Did you see any difference in the garden as the year went on, there are quite a few changes

Sunsets on 2021

I was going to leave off posting till next week so as to have a break from blogging but by Friday the bug had bitten me again to do something and as the day turned out quite nice after the rain we had overnight I thought it might be a nice sunset, I suppose it set with the indifference we have felt about things all year a bit of a let down. The bathroom window has become my place to get a sunset while at home so that is where I went.

The sunset at 4:08 so these were taken around that time
Moving slightly right looking over the nearby housing estate
A plane flying high makes an appearance
10 minutes later the show is over
Looking south the glow lessens even more
Sunrise in 2022 will be over this way but I don't hole my hopes up for that.
 Happy Skywatch
Stay safe and Have a great evening and a Happy New Year

December Sunrises

As we came in to December some beautiful sunrises were to be had

On the 11th I let out or dog and could not help but see this beautiful sky

A wider view only showed more beauty

From the bedroom a superb sunrise

The winter solstice was the day before and on the next day the 22nd I heard on the radio of a red sky well I only had to open the shutters and there it was

Nearby a star shone well the lit up star on the lamppost where they had been cheeky and strung lights

Zooming back out the sky was that colour when the sun is peeking it's head up painting the sky with colour

Go wide and a panoramic of the sky

Zoom in a little to show the beauty of the sunrise.
That's it from me this year, hopefully I will return in the new year with more sunrises
Till then may I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year
Happy Skywatch

More Christmas Lights

Tonight I thought I would pop up another part of the village to see the lights, it was worth it.

Along the road I was visiting this was in one garden

The retired teachers garden with the display cabinet all lit up

Just along the road a little

This does not look so good a it is on my phone but if you see it for real it looks quite magical

Just out of sight

Wider view along the road a little

The retired teachers front garden

and that is a view up the road I had been along

This one is on a corner near where I lived as a kid.
There were quite a few people walking around the village looking at the lights enjoying them.
Hope you did to

Merry Christmas
