Blue Sky's & Grey
At the start of our walk over the hill to see the fungi we looked across the campsite towards a blue sky
Come the end of the week the weather changed when we were going home, grey skys threatened rain
On our way home past Worcester while my wife drove I noticed a rainbow out of the car window I tried to get a photo but either I missed it or it had gone & I was left with a grey sky. Not long after the rain caught up with us

Autumn Colours
While we were out looking for the fungi from last week I also noticed some of the trees in the Autumn colours we all love to see.
Along the path from the fungi I noticed this fir tree that had golden needles on it
Back near the campsite a tree was turning from green to gold
Brown and golden leaves lay on the ground
Red Berries were on some of the trees, the birds would have a fest
By the campsite road mushrooms still grew among the leaves

It's Halloween
It's Halloween and though I'm not keen on all that goes on with it in the UK. It is on of those things that seems to have come over from the other side of the pond that companies can jump on the band waggon and make money from. Saying that I do appreciate the work some people put into their costumes and decorations. Walking along the road today someone had really pushed out the boat
The had decorated their front garden
Carved pumpkins
Skeleton coming out of the ground
Zombies & giant spiders
Ghosts floating around
The odd Witch
or two. Yep that should please the local kids tonight

More Fungus
So a week or so after seeing the Fly Agaric the other week when we were up on the hillside I thought that would be the end of it and that the fungi would be dying off by now but to our surprise my wife spotted some new ones on a bank beside a wood
The fallen trees on the bank
You can just make out the fungi beside the post on the right
They looked really nice close up
Not far away in the wood were more growing
We moved on further up the path to where the original fungi was growing and spotted a load in the wood
With more growing up through the dead leaves and wood
We left the fungi to grow in peace
Not far away the fungi we saw previous was now dying and feeding the bank it grew on
