Aberedew Hill

I don't normally moan online about things but this really did get my goat, some idiot thinks it's a good idea to put a wind farm up on Aberedew Hill, these are some photos I took up there back in 2012 and show the beautiful hillside they want to destroy with huge pylons and wind turbines. I'll let you scroll through them

This was not my original post for SkyWatch but I really feel strongly about this and think people should see what is at risk.

Take Care

Happy SkyWatch

It is truly a beautiful place.

Thanks for the link Billy. I've not been up there (challenged by my bad asthma) but it is so lovely and those far-ranging views. That wind farm would be seen across half of Radnorshire and Breconshire. Disgusting to even consider ruining such a wonderful landscape and damaging tourism so much.

This makes my heat ache. So short-sighted and just wrong. And what happens in a few years when wind generated electricity is no longer in vogue, and they move on to the next big thing?

Great views.

In the abstract I love wind energy. In real life I hate the way windfarms look. They sure have screwed up the landscape in much of Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, and many other places.

I understand your frustration. It would be a shame to desecrate such a beautiful place.
