Howbery Park
Back in Aug 1968 I started my apprenticeship at a place called Hydraulics Research Station which was at Howbery Park in Crowmash near Wallingford. The house was built by William Blackstone in 1850. This building was the first place I was taken to sign my Deeds and to sort things out at personnel before being taken to the workshop I would spend the next year.
This photo was taken before the start of the Thames run.

Thank you Timur
I thought it was when first saw the place as well
Looks nice - typically British. I hope the run went fine.
You are very welcome to check out Travel Photo Blogging for a travel idea or two and see a selection of my travel photos.
The run went well though I only was there to spectate.
Very nice. We have old schools in Australia, that look similar to this.
Is the roof missing on the building on the right?
It was never a school thats for sure even though a local school was named afer the guy who built the house.
The roof is not missing it's just hidden from view
