St Matthew Llandefalle

 

This week the Church Explorer is wack in Wales to visit  St Matthew Llandefalle. Many times I drove past a sign pointing to the church and thought when I get a chance I will stop off, well this time I did and was surprised at what I found

 

Morning Evening

 

Ok we are finally into March with my backlog and this time I managed to get a sunrise and sunset.

Opened the curtains at 6am and the dawn was just happening

From the bedroom a read glow can be seen about 10min later

 Back to the bedroom for a beautiful red dawn

Come sunset we had gone to our caravan in Wales so I got the last of the sunset on the lake with a couple of ducks

 The yellow glow and the last of the daylight

Roses

 

It's only the beginning of May and I noticed some of the roses in our garden are starting to bloom or bloom in one case 

Olivia a prolific rose which will keep giving blooms for most of the summer it also has a beautiful perfume to it

 It's not just the odd rose blooming the bush is full of them

This is a different rose in bud it will soon be out 

Malvern hills is a rambling rose that grows along the patio fence in front of our kitchen the whole fence will be covered in yellow flowers in a day or so

St Mary the Virgin Croperdy

 

This week the Church Explorer  visits St Mary the Virgin Croperdy a place well know in the UK for the Fairport Convention Festival that happens. The church is most likely less well known unless you are a church crawler like me

The last of February

 

Well it seems I am still going through my backlog of SkyWatch photos and have now got to the last ones I took back in February. The saying Red Sky in the morning comes to mind with this one and it was a beauty 

Looking out of the bedroom window really did show a glowing orange sky

 Shame the day did not stay that way, later on we had a hale storm, this was the bathroom window.

Blossom in my Garden

 

This week some of the blossom I have in my garden 

 

The white Lilac take up most of the flower bed

Even though most of the bluebells were dug up a few still flower around the place

The clematis  is in flower

St Peter Hanwell

 

This week the Church Explorer visits St Peter Hanwell one of the last two churches I will be visiting near Banbury at the moment. The church has some beautiful carvings inside and ones the for a freeze around the outside of the east end of the church

Moving on to the evening and after looking out the bathroom window and a final glow from the sunset

Turning to the left a little and the reflection on the clouds

Bluebells and Blossom

 

Spring is here and with it come the bluebells and blossom bringing with them a scent to the air  

 

Bluebells grow in woodland even in the wooded back garden of someones house

 

 

These people are lucky to have such a display

 

 

They are just magical to look at
