Glorious Sunrise

Happy New Year  to everyone I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are now ready for more SkyWatch photos. For me November brings some of the best sunrises you can see and I was lucky to notice this one through the shutters of the bedroom.

But I poked my head out of the bathroom window to get this one of the glowing sky

It just got better when I zoomed in a little

By the time I went outside the sky was turning pink

November Morning

Only a couple of photos this week that I took of the red sky one November morning

This time from our bedroom window, I could not help notice the pink shining on the shutter and this is what I noticed when I looked out

Zoomed in a little

Google worked their magic with this one

May I take this opportunity to wish you all merry Christmas and to say thank you for visiting and all your comments this year

Painted Stones

On a visit to the local library I noticed some painted stones on the librarians desk, they looked so nice I had to get a photo of them.

Christmas time with the decorated tree and snowman

A snoozing fox is so lovable

This one I presume is a colorful bug

But I did love the Guinea Pig

October Sunset

While waiting for some chips from the local chip van one Friday evening I noticed the sunset and as my phone was in my pocket it was rude not to capture it.

It was the reflection on the clouds that I noticed

Zooming in gave a different effect to them

Even Google give it an  effect

Looking the opposite way the sky was lighter

The clouds soon went leaving an orange colored sky

Which then turned pink

More Snow

Some more snow scenes from back in 2010, these were taken a couple of days later when the sky was clear.

The icicles were on next doors house

Snow covered road

To be truthful an old road now disused and it is only a few miles from where I live

The snow covered track out of the village,

The pylons were built back in the late 1950's early 1960's as I remember them being built. You can just make out people sledging on a hillside which is what I was doing there in 1963

This looks to the village down the track which was a roman road at one time

Boat on the bank by the Thames, the water is not frozen as it is running quite fast

As I cam back to the village a different way the sun was going down

St Mary Lower hayford

This week the Church Explorer visits St Mary Lower Hayford a church which I found more interesting that the one I previously visited
