Hospital Ducks

Might seem an odd title but these Ducks literally live at the Hospital. I just happened to be there the other day and on the way out I noticed the duck & ducklings. I asked the nurse about it and she said the mother had been coming there for over 10 years to have here ducklings. The Hospital staff looked after them till they were ready to fly away.
The ducks live in this little courtyard which is surrounded on all sides by the Hospital
All mod cons including a little bath for them
Mother is never far from them
And they all look content where they are
There is a bakers dozen here.

Along a wall along near the River Wye in Builth Wells you can see these figures which have been painted to show normal everyday life of people from the town.

Floods & Blue Skys

This photo was taken in March and was a while after the winter rains had eased off. Most of the rivers were going down but you did come across ground water flooding like this which is on the Berkshire Downs near Wantage. The water is running off the hills onto the road after filling the ditches. Weeks later the water has only just gone down but water is still running off the hills

Out of the Ground

An excavator drags itself out of a hole it has been digging for the last few weeks

The area started out looking like this a few weeks ago

Now a large area has been excavated out for a new experimental area at Diamond Light Source

Llywelyn mural

This is one Mural I had to go back to get new photos of, it's called the Llywelyn muraland is in Builth Wells. You are gretted by it as you drive into the town.  Llywelyn the Last who was killed locally in December 1282 by the English under Edward I in a village a few miles away.

Quite impressive don't you think The rest of the photos below are parts of the mural

The top left is a Carn which is beside the road near where he was killed in Cilmery
