Win Me

Just came out of the carpark at Parkway Shopping center in Newbury when I spotted this MINI which could be won. You just have to purchase a Christmas gift costing £10 to enter. Might just have to do that nest time I am there.

Have a great weekend

A Week at Work

Happy Skywatch
This week I will show you the various sky's since my last Skywatch. It has been an event full week with a  mixed bag of skys

This was the sky I took on Friday which looked great
This shows a greater area

The following week I posted this on Twitter an included Simon Parkin  weather man for Meridian  TV along with Diamond. Guess what it was shown just before the weather on TV It was not even a good photo
Going home this was the scene
I missed Tuesday as the Battery went flat but Wed looked like this all day
Thursday was a bit better and Simon Parkin asked on Twitter if the fog was still there I tweeted him the photo you see above.
I took this photo out of the office window in the afternoon as the sun went down

Going home I felt I had to get a photo of the Dish all lit up. Have a great day

County Lock

Those of you who follow my blog may remember on Monday I showed a photo of murals along underpass where I said at the end of which was the River Kennet, well this is what it was like at the time which was Christmas Eve.  The river flows into the Thames a mile further along but when it floods it overflows upstream past the lock here.

The ripple to the right of the picture is a weir

The underpass  with the murals is off to the left of he photo I'll post another photo  next week showing the shopping center which was also flooded

Blue Plaque

Friday I took a little trip to Marston near Oxford as I happened to be nearby. I wanted to visit a church for My Grave Place Blog but I passed the road it was in and stopped to turn round near this house which had a Blue Plaque on the wall. Seemed it was quite an historic place.

Seems the Civil War  affected even a small village near Oxford and it went down in history where Oxford was surrendered.

Taking part in Our World Tuesday

Murals along the Underpass

Another view of the Underpass in reading with the murals on it, as you can see it is all the way along. At the end is the River Kennet which was in full flood at the time. I'll post photos in the near future.

Taking part in Mural Monday

A New Day Had Begun

Red Dawn
Sheep graze in the dawn sky
Kites fly over silently by
A mouse scurries quickly by
The sun peeks up its fiery head
A new day has begun

Sunrise at Diamond

Thursday proved to be a stunning morning for a sunrise so when I got to work I felt I had to get a photo.

 Looking towards the sunrise
The sun is rising over there.

But you need to see the whole thing to appreciate the sunrise

Wet Day for a Coffee

While walking round Wallingford I could not help stopping and taking a photo of these empty tables at the Old Post Office in the Market Square

Looks like some one was brave enough to venture outside
Have a good day
