Some local roads

I stopped off to get some photos for some little project I am doing at the moment so these are all local roads to me

The Oxfordshire boarder, that side is South Oxfordshire or what used to be North Berkshire before 1974 and they changed the boundary's

Turn round the other way and your looking at West Berkshire

This is what is behind me, a few weeks ago I showed a photo pylons disappearing into the distance from just outside the village, well this is the last one, after this it runs underground to the other side of Streatley Hill

This was looks over the surrounding countryside, the pylons head back past my village way past the last one you see

Just out side Streatley on another side road taking you to Cleeve court

That is one of the nearby cottages there

Streatley recreation ground

The carpark for the grounds is to the right where that flash of read is, carry on and you get to Cleeve court

Townsend road which will take you back to the first one I was on at the beginning though I might add it is a private road.

Take Care

Such beautiful countryside. I love the cottage. It will be nice when things are underground, especially for your SkyWatch photos!

Road trips in places like these are such an experience; I greatly enjoy them! Looking at these photos brings back so many wonderful memories that I cherish. The photos of the local roads around the Oxfordshire and West Berkshire border provide a wonderful sense of place. It is interesting to see how the boundary lines have shifted over time, especially with the mention of South Oxfordshire once being part of North Berkshire. The quiet cottages and the open recreation ground at Streatley look peaceful under the spring light. I invite you to read the most recent entry on the blog at https://www.melodyjacob.com/
