This week a change from wandering around village roads. I thought it was time to look in the garden again and to start with a Magnolia we have growing outside the door. I noticed it was starting to bud so thought I take the various stages of it flowering.
One of them is starting to flower
A little more coming out
Finally it come out into flower
With more on the tree flowering as well

A beautiful sequence of photos.
I love your time sequence of the blooming. Beautiful!!
The colour is beautiful with a darker shade on the outside of the petals
It was beautiful to see the progress from bud to bloom, Billy. And I wondered how many days it took to fully open.
Lovely sequence!
Interesting set of photos. I always wonder why we call that drab fawn colour "magnolia" when there are so many attractive shades of the flower.
I was a though after seeing a few in different stages on the tree
Thanks, it was over a few days
One of the things we like about it
Not many when it started to bud like it did
Thank you
Your right and I don't think I have seen one the colour of the paint
Very pretty!
A nice progression of the pretty flower!
I really like it when Magnolia trees flower here, they are a true sign Winter is over.
Our next door neighbor's beautiful deciduous magnolia is now in full bloom. I do so love that tree.
