They imported those to the North Coast many years ago to eat the tansy ragwort here. For a while we saw the caterpillars and moths around quite a bit, but rarely now. The ragwort's gone too; maybe that's why.

It's a cinnabar moth caterpillar https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cinnabar_moth
Lovely stripey caterpillar. Cinnabar moths are so beautiful.
